Billy’s Kickin’ Cowboy Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 medium sized onion, chopped
  • 2 – 28 oz. cans whole, peeled tomatoes un-drained
  • 2 – 16 oz. can diced green chiles un-drained
  • 1-7 oz. can diced green chiles
  • 1/2 t. Cumin
  • 3/4 t. Oregano
  • 1 1/2 t. Chili Powder
  • 1/4 t. Pepper
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • Shredded cheese optional

Instructions

  • In large skillet, brown hamburger and onion until cooked.
  • Remove from heat drain hamburger onto paper towels to reduce oil, set aside.
  • Combine hamburger mixture and all remaining ingredients in slow cooker.
  • Cover, cook on HIGH for 1 hour.
  • Reduce heat to LOW. Simmer for 3-4 hours.
  • Ladle into serving bowls. Sprinkle with shredded cheese. Enjoy!
