Beautiful Bulgogi

  • 1 lb beef tenderloin or skirt steak sliced into ⅛-inch-thick strips
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 green onion chopped
  • 2 T soy sauce
  • 2 T sugar
  • 3 T water
  • 1 T sesame oil
  • 1 T toasted sesame seeds
  • 1/2 t ground black pepper

  • In a large bowl, combine garlic, green onion, soy sauce, sugar, water, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and black pepper. Mix with a spoon until sugar is well-dissolved.
  • Add the sliced beef and gently stir until beef is evenly coated. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
  • Cook beef on a preheated pan or a grill until browned.
  • Transfer to a plate or bowl to serve. Garnish with additional green onions or sesame seeds, if desired.
