Classic Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups canned pumpkin
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 unbaked pie crust

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425° F. Mix the ingredients in the order given. Pour mixture into an unbaked pie crust.
  • Bake 15 minutes, then reduce the oven to 350 degrees. Bake 45 minutes longer or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Double recipe for 2 pies.
